Ask An Artist

Many women have questions and concerns about makeup and hair. Whether it be application, color, product, styling or use. Kensington is now the site to ask all of your beauty questions and to get answers back.

"I'm a bodybuilder-figure competitor and after having my son, was blessed with a beautiful baby boy and the scar of stretch marks on my abdomen. After trying every cream and laser procedure I could find, I feel stuck. Do you have any advice on makeup products that I can use to mask my stretch marks while being on stage?

Your help is appreciated
Thanks,
Kyla"

Hey Kyla!

Thanks so much for your question. Here's what some of the artists suggested:

-A personal airbrush system will even out your skin tone, and will look great for when you are on stage... Temptu now has a personal airbrush system available at Sephora.

-Use Smashbox primer on the area then Sally Hansen Airbrush Spray to fill in the scar.

-MAC Full Coverage Foundation. It's water-resistent and long-wearing. It can cover most scars, blemishes and birthmarks.

For prevention options and to make the area less visible use Bio Oil (Available at Walgreen's) or mix vitamin E and cocoa butter and apply to the problem area.

Hope our suggestions help!
